Happy Saturday! Happy August! It’s officially my Birthday Month! Yup, the BIG 4-0 !!!!

I can’t believe I went a whole month in between blog posts! Let’s say some posts got started, but not finished. I’m in Hyper Yoga Teacher Training mode. Literally, I can think of nothing else that has kept my focus and attention this last month.

Virgo here with Leo Tendencies! I was late so I could of been a Leo. August 24th is my actual Birthday!

O.K. so you caught me I have totally been playing Pokemon Go with my 20 Year old son. The first week I hit the 100k medal lol! Yes, this is a little obsessive, but it’s been such fun quality time with my son!

COFFEE!!!! Coffee!!!! Coffee!!!!

Thank you for joining me for this August Edition of the Ultimate Coffee Date!!! Linking up for coffee this morning, with my blogger friends  Lynda,  Deborah, and Coco this morning for.. The Ultimate Coffee Date!

Ultimate-Coffee-Date-Badge

If we were having coffee this Morning… I would ask you to start the date at Yoga with me! I’m not teaching yet, I need all the practice I can get. Since last coffee date, I have been treating my Yoga Training, like Marathon training. It was a month of bumps, bruises, and minor injuries. But, no matter what I got my Yoga in for the day!

The weight I was gaining, (that I talked about on our last date) stopped… and I got back to a good weight! Feels so good!

My goal was to be certified to teach last month, did not happen. But, that is O.K. 🙂 I have two more training’s in September and October. I feel pretty confident about graduating in October and it will be at my home Studio. And, feeling more confident about guest teaching or helping teach, very soon. Before, or on my Birthday is the goal. But, I’ll be honest the dialogue is the hardest part. I worked on my body, (still working) now I have to get both together; my movement and my speech. I don’t think I could of picked a more challenging or more rewarding form of Yoga. Traditional Hot Hatha, the first 26 postures in the Series. And, after that… I see traditional Ashtanga in my future. Which will require time, lots of time and hard work. That’s another 300 Hours that would complete my 500.

Last weekend, my Master Yoga Teacher was at my home studio O2 doing a Ashtanga training. I was so blessed that I got to hit up almost every one of the classes while she was in town. Which increased my love of Yoga by 10,000 and really pushed me to get back on the right track. Also, blessed by the Yoga Studio owner personally helping me out!

It feels so good to be back in the game! I didn’t lose hope, but it was disappointing that I am not farther along with my training! But, I’m just going to be happy to be where I am at.

So, enough about Yoga! What is going on in your world????

  2. From one August baby to another (22nd here – just a Leo) – have a fantastic birthday! I hope you are celebrating the big 4-0 in style. In my world, it’s between weight loss and yoga! I have recently started practising ashtanga in a Mysore style environment which has been equal parts challenging to rewarding, and I can see tiny glimmers of progress.

  3. Congrats on being almost done with your yoga training – that is worth focusing on. And yay on having fun playing Pokemon with your son. Mine is playing too, but I’m leaving it to him to figure out.
